The founders established NVD in 2003, during a time when vegetarian stalls were rare and primarily served simple dishes like vegetarian beehoon. Inspired by their mother—who was a skilled cook, they learned numerous recipes from her and decided to open eateries to share the flavors close to their hearts.
Today, the next generation has taken over to continue the founder’s legacy, hoping to encourage more people to embrace plant-based food as a sustainable and potentially healthier dietary choice.
